Episode sixteen of emit brings ShibiDorra from Belgrade, Road! Collective. She came to techno sideways, through punk, grunge and metal, and kept the rawness while leaving the polish behind.
The set runs on repetition until something gives. There’s no obvious build and no cheap drop, just pressure stacking up: tribal drums, cold bleeps and murky, hypnotic loops, sometimes a little unsettling. You don’t notice you’ve moved until you’re already somewhere else. Belgrade has just shown how that works on a bigger scale, when people keep showing up, loop after loop, until the whole thing finally shifts. Turn it up.

ShibiDorra is a Belgrade-based DJ who came to techno sideways, through punk, grunge and metal. The raw energy carried over, the polish didn’t. What’s left is instinct, tension and a refusal to clean things up too much. Her sets move through repetition until something shifts, slowly and unpredictably, deep, hypnotic and occasionally unsettling. A member of Road! Collective, she has played Drugstore and Para Klub in Belgrade, K9 and Klub Depo in Zagreb, and Moondance Festival.
