The fourteenth episode of emit brings Vid Šimatović from Zagreb's Kongres Kolektiv, recorded a few weeks after the festival — but the forest by the Drava still breathes with us, even back within four walls.
The set opens slow, like it has all the time in the world. Soundscapes stretch out wide, synths get under your skin, until melodies emerge from it all — expressive, emotional, given room to unfold rather than rushed along. Toward the end everything slows its step and sets you back down gently. Good company for whatever's left of the weekend.

Vid Šimatović has been honing his craft since primary school — one of the rare ones who never crossed into production, choosing instead to say everything from behind the decks. Part of Zagreb's Kongres Kolektiv, his sound today is rooted firmly in techno he calls honest and uncompromising: retro instincts filtered through a modern lens. Stay tuned.
